WoRlD of oBsCuRiTyfor it seemed right, it may be wrong... November 13 Sigh....Another boring day, but something happened.
I went to Toa Payoh (to get some fresh air after being cooped in my stuffy room). As I was getting hungry as I stroll, I decided to get something at Old Chang Kee. It was then I saw Ms Jennifer Goh! Fancy meeting her up in this kind of context, I felt rather ominous...A chill just ran down my spine, I don't like that feeling. I am having my Additional Mathematics Paper 1 tommorrow. Hope that today's meeting with her will not affect my performance for tommorrow.
By the way, the Additional Mathematics Paper 2 will be starting at 0900 hrs instead of 0800 hrs, so that deprives me of one hour less to study for my chemistry! Instead, I will be able to sleep for at least half and hour later for that morning. I will hope that I will be fresh and awake enough for my Maths paper, but for now I have to do intense cramming for my Chemistry now. Prepare for Chemistry and prepare for the worst...... November 09 Oh My Goodness Gracious MeToday I sat my Elective Geography paper. The paper was really out of everybody's expectation. Ms Foo Moo Peck who can already be considered as a veteran can actually spot the questions wrongly. This is my question to all the sec 4s who took the paper this afternoon: Is it a disaster for Marists when we sat for our Elective Geography paper?
There will be a lot more of content to cramp in your tinie winie brain for changing agriculture while there is less to memorise for changing manufacturing industries. Hence logically speaking the questions for changing agriculture should be much easier than that of changing manufacturing industries. However, that was not the case and what many of those who have intensively and extensively studied for changing agriculture expected the least came out: the questions set for changing manufacturing industries were a chicken feat as compared to the changing agriculture questions! This phenomenon has definitely shocked almost nine-tenth of the Marist population. But seriously, the questions set for section B were comparatively easier than that of section A, provided you studied for them. So good luck to all for did question 2. Hope you all will not be "killed".
But, indirectly, am I saying that the professionals who are in UK setting this paper are illogical? November 05 O's' Heats...Wow! It has been ages since myself have the time to view my MSN space and to type an entry. So far, so busy. No choice, have to do well for my O level's. Nevertheless is a "once-in-a-lifetime" event! Just like marriage? If your are "fortuante" enough, you may be able to have multiple marriages, but I do hope the people I know of wouldn't be "unfortunate" enough to sit for their O level's a couple a times!
This few days I have been cooping myself in that stuffy three-room flat. What I do is only to mug and mug and only mug. Kind of stressful, as in the humongous amount of information, data, statistics I have to upload onto my hard-disk, or should I put it this way, "retrieve all your information from your human random accessed memory and upload all of them onto your human hard-disk"! This statement wasn't made by me, but my Physics teacher. She can be considered as an interesting teacher, as in the way she puts her intentions across is rather unorthodox. Why unorthodox? She is the first teacher, at least to me, able to bring an important message across by speaking in a teenage's context, or to say it in a way that it arouses your interests and to think what she is trying to imply. This way is rather unusual, as in not many teachers will actually do that, as many will feel that they are superior to us, and they shouldn't "degrade" themselves and speak to us just like a elder friend. Interesting teacher, interesting approach. Don't you agree?
But, mugging is something I felt was inevitable or "die die must do" kind of task I should undertake. I am not a humanities person, so as to say my humanities aren't that good, especially my geography. I just simply cannot stand the fact that it is a very content-based subject and I hate it. I do not know the underlying reason yet, but I think that it should be because that I don't do well in it?!
Nevertheless, tommorrow afternoon, all the candidates in Singapore will be taking their Social Studies's paper. Hope all the best, good luck to all! October 11 13 October 2006The clock is really ticking at an unnerving pace, and rather relentlessly. Too fast, too furious. My official four years of school life at Maris Stella High is going to end in about another 2 days' time. Last Friday I had my last morning assembly together with the whole school. It was rather nostalgic and I felt very impassioned. My last morning assembly with the school was rather quite special as compared to the other few batchs of leaving sec 4s. All the joy and glory, agony and tears my schoolmates and I experienced were surreal. For all I prayed that I could go back in time to experience all the wonderful memories once again, but I know it isn't plausible. On the last day of school, all the sec 4s were in the Primary School Chapel for leavers' mass, but before that, some of our classmates took photographs as memories. Haha, I managed to took a photo with my tudi Hongrui...LOL.
Nevertheless I really hoped that...... September 15 Ripping the paper...Today is the 15th of September, 2006. I know it is rather obvious to you out there, but to me there is a special significance to this date. From 0816 hrs to 1001 hrs I was having my 5068/02 paper and after which I took the 5068/01 from 1110 hrs to 1210 hrs.
Oh by the way 5068/02 is Pure Chemistry Paper 2 and 5068/01 is Pure Chemistry Paper 1. For the first paper I took today, some of the questions are "decontextualised", as in the setter of the paper wanted us to make use of knowledge that is not bounded by the syallabus. Anyway, there are just simple application questions, not a challenge. So the paper was like "ripped" by me. Then following was the second paper. In the midst of the paper I fell asleep. I think the most plausible reason I can think of is that the low standard of the questions have put me off. Attempting the questions proved itself a chicken feat. Imagining the questions you have done umpteen times hence requires almost no thinking while attempting the questions. Again, the paper was ripped by me. Hence overall the whole paper was like double ripped by me...LOL! September 08 What has the world become?Seriously, what has the world become? Know what, I never knew he was think kind of person, with such despicable character. I don't even know what is going on in his mind. He actually put words in my mouth, accusing me of them, even better, this was done through a third party. He has become so cunning. It is such a ingenious move that he approached the third party to confront me, so what actually in between he will not bear the responsiblility. WELL DONE! What the hell? Do you simply think that I have a mind of a 3-year-old toddler? Hello, I am no fool either. You better come clean with me.
September 04 West Side Story - Leonard Bernstein"West Side Story" is a Broadway Musical having its music composed by the "extraordinary versatile" Leonard Bernstein (1918 - 1990), a "20th century culture hero". Basically I am not enticed by the entire musical itself but really the music only. One can really be surprised by the complex and unconventional music; the music is also of a wider range of styles. The Esplanade will be showing "The Forbidden City". So I reckon one can really can compare the latter with the former.
Er... it's not any classical music that you will think of... Haha. Some of the songs are really catchy eg, "Tonight", I personally like it very much. "West Side Sory" is a Oscar winning film in 1961. The soundtrack produced in 1984 also clinched a Grammy award in 1985. The whole musical is actually the Shakespearen's "Romeo and Juliet" put in to the context of the American society in the 1950s. Though antique, it's worth listening...

August 31 LOL!LOL!
Yesterday was the eve of Teachers' Day Celebrations. Therefore I went to Orchard with Ying Zhou and Ivan to shop for Teachers' Day gifts. We have decided that we would be giving to Ms Jennifer Goh, Mrs Khoo YE and gosh, that Ms FMP (who sure TF). Okay, it was really raining cats and dogs that flooding occured at poorly drained areas and even being sheltered we were drenched. We took Bus Service 28 down to Paya Lebar MRT Station and took the MRT to Orchard. We went to Borders at Wheelock Place, then problem arised: what should we really get for the teachers? This question indeed proved itself tough, we spent like almost 2.5 hours in that bookshop, as if we were 3 headless houseflies heading nowhere. Finally, we decided to get 1 music CD each for Ms Goh and Mrs Khoo, and for that fantastic teacher, we knew that she wouldn't appreciate music, so get her a gift card of $15. At last, left Borders to have my lunch. Dear me, by then it was already 4.30pm...
It was torrential downpour didn't abate. No choice but we walked in the rain. LOL, fancy 3 guys strolling in the rain! See, the road is so slippery, we couldn't run, so had to cautious with our steps. From Borders "strolled" all the way to Centrepoint. Settled down at Fish & Co. at 5.15pm. I ordered a bowl of Seafood Chowder and shared the chips and baguette with Ying Zhou. I really liked the garlic butter that WAS SUPPOSEDLY to go with the baguette. But know what? I blatantly dipped my chips into the butter like the chilli sauce. LOL. I think I had been out of my mind because of the Prelims, but never mind. Oh ya! Try dipping yur chips into vinegar, rather then get jealous. It's rather nice...
Haha. That ended my day.
August 24 Who's guilty? She is!This is truely so ghastly. I am totally disgusted. She is a girl. Oh my god! I really could not imagine that she is a girl.
Today, as usual, I had made my trip down to CHIJ St Nicholas Girls' School for my music lessons. There, I have a classmate from some other school. She really has the capability, the capability to make me to make me to comment about her relentlessly in the last hour of the lesson.
How dare she took my photograph in class! She got no right to do that. You know what, she is blatantly showing off her new 3-G Nokia handphone. I don't care you've got what kind of handphone. A lousy one one or a 3-G one. But on the fact that she took my photograph in class during lesson time without permission, vandalising the photo taken with do-not-know-what kind of tools to disfigure the person featured, and even passing it around to show it to others, she IS a truely an unfeeling person who is so arrogant so egoistic and really being impudent. She was simply trying to "showcase" her new handphone and its functions despically, conspicuously, and i thought that she had been abased by her own actions. It is shameless. She don't even have the basic courtesy and acts like an "Ah Lian", and I mean it, an "Ah Lian". She just have difficulties keeping her hands to herself and has to touch this touch that, hit this hit that. Her mouth simply couldn't stop, just like any auntie you can find on the streets bargaining. Blatantly portraying herself as an "Ah Lian".
Now I realise the reason why she and the others from her school... August 13 ObscurityFor it seemed right, it may be wrong.
The present society is of an obscure nature. Looks can be deceiving, for I am a victim before. There is a famous saying which goes like this, "Never judge a book by its cover". What really appears in front of you is something superficial, always try to discover what is actually lying beneath that hypocritical mask. May I be blessed to tear down your facade and expose your true and ugly nature to the world.
